The Dunes--One More Time!
Well, between Paul and I your probably overdosing on sand right now, but hey, im still spitting out sand! So, as promised, here's two shots form sunset tuesday, one seconds before and one seconds after sunset, with a quick lens change in between. Ive already printed these, the jpegs dont do them justice. For a weirder look at the dunes, see my ESS post

#1 rocks, Stan. Although #2 is also a good shot, I prefer seeing more of the dune ripples in the foreground. Nice work!

Fantastic images! I like #1 a bit more because it shows more of the rippled sand. WOW!!

Stan, killer dune shots! I'm with Laurie re #1. The ripples are sweet and the converging diagonal lines are just way cool!

Sunset colors are sweet, but I much prefer the lighting of the dunes in your first post.
Which do you prefer?

Wonderfule x3 My fave is #1 for the Dune Cross lighting

These are beauties Stan, #1 is my fav too, the light and patterns are awesome.

These are all just wonderful shots, Stan. I'm with John though, in that I liked the play of light on the dunes in your previous post the best. Maybe you should substitute the sky in that one with the sky in shot #1!! Just kidding, course! Great work. :toast:

By the way, a second look at shot #1 leaves me with a suggestion. It seems to be lacking a bit of contrast. I think boosting the midtone contrast would make this even better.

Guy, yeah i wish sunset colors would be stronger before the actual sunset!
I see what you mean about the contrast, worth a shot playing with it some more.
John: im with Guy, i like the fg lighting in my previous post, but because im a sucker for sunsets, i prefer #1 here overall.

Nice shots, Stan! I think I'm partial to #1 also, the lighting on the dunes is great, plus more ripples!
