Hi John,

Great feather detail and colours in the subject! A wee bit tight in the frame for my tastes though!

Great detail and colours as Paul says. The tightness of the frame gives emphasis to the subject IMHO.

Thanks both.
Funnily enough I always say I like a lot of surround in the picture. This is one of the few times I have turned the camera to vertical. I can count on one hand I think the number of times I have done it. There's only a bit cropped off the left and bottom.I could stretch the surround I suppose, but what a job.
I may try it for a laugh !( Isn't that what photography should be !! ?? )
So - I aggree with you both !!
Cheers Thanks for looking and your comments

Well John I'd like a tad more room on the left for sure - because this has got to be the best GW image I've seen in many a long while - top shot squire :toast: :toast:

Thanks Andy
I've put the left side bit back on and stretched the right a bit. Best I can do but I don't like this mucking about with a picture too much. I think it looks a bit better balanced though.
Cheers

A nice close-up to have in your collection. I think I prefer the repost for the little extra room.

Sorry to be awkward John, but I liked it the first time. The second one makes it all look a bit flat and wide to my eye. It's an outstanding shot and the comp with the bird facing away but looking up and across the shot - brilliant. Portrait too, it just gets better. Got any rubbish you can put up to make me feel better?

Yes, for me it is the repost too. Lovely colours and an interesting pose.

Fact is John is a good image cropped or uncropped.
