The bill has been introduced in two forms, as H.R.5889 and S.2913. The ASMP states that the House bill is possibly acceptable, but that the Senate bill needs more help.
In both cases, the bill currently sits in the Judiciary Committee. It has the support of the chairs of both the Senate and House Committees, and has bi-partisan support. It appears that SOMETHING is likely to come out of this effort this year.
Please ask your Senators for, at minimum, the provisions available in the House bill. We must also push, as lesser-known artists, for reasonable access to these databases; let the burden of supporting these databases fall on the searcher and not the registrant... Ideally, this service should be available for free for all images registered at the Copyright Office.

Please check to see if your Congressman or Senator is on the Judiciary Committee and contact them:
