I will be in the Denver area Friday - Monday, looking for some god landscape (preferably) around Estes Park or Rocky MTN NP, any good locals or better ideas. Not a photo trip but looking to get out...
Daniel, i would post this at RMNP, there are several members who live near or in Estes Park and they would be of great assistance. Be aware that most of the park is still under much snow, but there are still plenty of ops to be had. Assuming you mean next friday, there is a large cold storm coming in thursday which should add some fresh snow to the park, should be very pretty, i dont think you can go wrong there, if you dont here from other RMNPers just go to the park VC and have at it!
I live in Estes and have a small gallery there. Visit my website to see some of the landscapes of Rocky Mountain National Park. You can also see galleries related to April and May to get an idea of what to expect. If you have specific questions about the area, let me know.

Daniel,
Depending on where you'll be in Denver, RMNP can still be a bit of a drive, but its worth it. Lots of spots are accessible with snowshoes or without depending on recent snowfall and trail traffic.
A nice option with an easy drive is Loveland Pass off I-70 for sunrise or sunset. A little later in the year Mt. Evans is a nice alternative, but I don't think its open very high yet.
I lived in Lakewood (west side of Denver) until a couple years ago.
