Hi,
With a poor weather forcast for this morning I did a few little jobs then headed out to Elmley to check out a couple of things, came across loads of frogs calling...
Only had the 400 with me so a slightly unorthodox use, the 2x added for the magnification.
All the best
Phil

I really like this Phil. Quite a melancholy looking chap - must have been at it for hours

I love it but then I would because frogs are my favourite animals! Looks like the 'green frog' (rana esculenta)...is it?

Yep, this works for me too.
I think that its a good excercise to go out with limited kit and have to shoot things in a way that maybe you usually would not, sometimes, as here, it produces a very pleasing image.
Cheers for the comments.. ID is Rana esculenta 'Green Frog'. Paula had it right I was just waiting on confirmation....
All the best

Wonderful image Phil - works a treat
Don't think I've ever seen a shot of a frog with a low PoV done from a car before - what the hell are you driving - a Koenigsegg

Great shot!
I have unfortunately never been able to capture them with the bubbles out!
Will give it a try this season!
Love the low POV and the warm colours!

That's a fantastic shot in itself, but I'm even more impressed that you got it from the car window. Its going to take for ever to get those carpets dry. Eric
Limited equipment???? What are you ppl talking about!
Do you not know that the 400/2.8 is probably the most versatile lens in the world? Not too long, not too short and just heavy enough to let you know you've not forgotten it when you walk home

As a matter of interest-which frog species is it ?
