I was hunkered down in my truck waiting for it to blow over. Afterwards I found this on the trail into Kings River Falls, a Crested Iris, recently watered.
It was great to hang out with like minded folks this weekend and talk shop. Thanks to everyone for coming, it's amazing how much I learn just watching how others approach taking their photos.

Nice shot Bruce. All the water droplets make it that much better.

Great picture Bruce. There was no need to break out this mister that afternoon. This was my first time seeing the Iris and they were beautiful. Everywhere we went was beautiful.
Very nice specimen, Bruce. Definitely "feels" like spring.

Beauty Bruce, some of us had a lot in common with this Iris that day. Speaking for myself it has nothing to do with the beauty and much to do with the water! Why can't I look better when all wet?
Great to meet you Bruce, and I agree the learning experience was wonderful.
Take Care.

Now that's color. Great capture. Glad to meet you Bruce and share the shooting experience. Looking forward to the next time.
Bruce I do believe that this Iris was just as wet as we were by the time we made it out of Smith Creek! Thanks for being part of the big weekend, I enjoyed seeing you again and getting to absorb a little of your local knowledge.
p.s. thanks for saving my bacon with the tire repair kit!
