Daffodils
I have been to Laurel Ridge in Thomaston twice. The first time was last week and the flowers were only ~25% peak (but still very beautiful and lots to choose from). Saturday the fields were at peak and Tom and I sepnt the afternoon there. I have not seen so many of them in bloom at once in the past 5 years since I first went there. The fiddelheads were out Sat too (the week before there were not more than an inch).

I also met Geoff Fox (Channel 8 weather) Saturday, he is easy to talk to, shoots Canon and sent me a few pic of myself working and a link to some of his pics from the day (he was mainly shooting time intervals for time lapse). His photos are very good and there is one that I am particularly envious of with a string diagonal composition and the pond in the frame.

Canon 40D, Canon 28-300mm lens, tripod

same tree from a different angle (1/4 turn) -- completely different daffodils. I was lying almost prone for both tree shots.

Hi Lisa!! Wow, you've shared three photos of these beauties!! Sounds like a fun day!! I know of a cemetary in Maine that has thousands(?) of daffodils and when they bloom...WOW, really breathtaking!!

Here is a more intimate view. Had hoped to return this weekend, but got busy. Maybe I'll try again tomorrow. Love to go there... means spring has arrived.
