I posted this in the flora forum yesterday. I took it Saturday morning in Woodland. What a great morning. Lots of dew on the flowers and no wind until around 8:30.
I used a selective color layer, and ran the cyan slider all the way to the left, and ran the black slider quite a way to the right, to get a kind of translucent glow. I think this probably only works with certain colors and back lighting.
I had a comment on another forum that it make someone go to the store and buy sherbet, and realized that it does remind one of rainbow sherbet.

I can post more details tonight if you're interested...
Curtis, sure called the colors right. I couldn,t come up with a comp for those unopened blooms, but this is nice.

I like the jeweled look of the edges provided by the back lighting quite a bit....

I know they say it's all about the light (and I try and get that through my thick skull now and again), but IMHO sometimes it's about the color too, and I love what you did here. My only nit would be to trim a little off the left to balance the margins.

Thanks guys. I got some good suggestions from both postings.
John, I agree about color. I'm kind of a color whore and sometimes I do get too hung up on the colors and forget about the light, but Saturday I was really having fun working with the back light. I think I'm going try to do more with back light in the future.
