Soft Landing
I shot this at the Greenbrier area of the Park last weekend. this bloom had fallen off of a tree and landed on these ferns. I didn't place the bloom there - not that it makes it any better, worse, or even makes a difference - just thought i'd mention it

I'm wondering what kind of tree, vine, or bush this bloom fell off of - i'm drawing a serious blank here.

Thanks!

Wade

Pretty shot, I love how the bloom is placed, the tree dropped it in just the right spot! I can't think of what kind of tree it would be either.

Very nice image. Could it be a Carolina Silverbell flower?

Sweet image! I agree with Robert's id; silverbell (aka Halesia carolina)
