Deer silhouette - a unexpected encounter
While i was on rought to my bluebell location.I was shocked to see 4 female deer coming out of the hedge i was walking along right in-front of me  .Which i such a rare sight in my area.

Luckely my 20D was attached to my 100-400 in my bag so i was able to get it out quick and get some shots.

For this one, i saw that the deer were going up to the top of the field, so it was a good chance to capture the silhouette.

20D
EF100-400
Hand held

Comments welcome

Thanks for looking

I always get a buzz out of seeing wild deer but they invariably scarper before I can get the camera out of the bag. Well done for capturing such a nice shot.

Tells a story, like it, the rumbling clouds give atmosphere.

Yes, the heart starts to beat faster when you spot deer and even faster when they don't spot you!
Nice shot

Quick thinking to go for the silhouette Alan, it works really well with that sky.
