... or are you just trying to see how many clicks you can get on this one by giving it a racy title?!
Great shot Bill.

I don't care who ya are that theres funny!
Tremendous shot Bill. I normally feel like the black back ground removes a natural look and feel of these type of macro flower shots, but I must say, this is very nice. The lighting and processing you have done on this is great. And with out doubt the talent behind the camera really shows.

Bill love the title and what a elegant image. The curves and textures in it make for a lovely image. I give it a 10 out of 10. If you could shoot this I'd spray a few water drops on it. I don't shoot many flowers or B/W but think this is one of your best flower macros I can remember. :toast:

Well that just tears it! Now I can't post my shot of this beauty for fear of being ridiculed! :frown: As good a shot as I've ever seen of one! Great lighting, detail and textures Bill.

Over the top fantastic!! :toast: :toast:

I'm with you Wayne, no way am I going to compete with that. Bill that's wonderful. You gonna print that at like 16x20 on your canvas?

Thanks for the nice comments, guys. I was thinking B&W when I shot this, since there isn't a whole lot of color with Jack in the Pulpits, but lots of interesting tonal variations and texture in the right light.

Bruce - I probably will print this at 24x24 or maybe a little larger, but probably won't use canvas. For the sharp detail in B&W, I really like the Hahnemule photo rag 308, or Harmon baryta matte.

I have to give credit to my lens. I waited for years to own a 200 micro Nikkor, and have always loved the results I get with it. Same lens I used for the Columbine photo I took two years ago, and was my first cover shot for a magazine.

Wow, great image Bill. I have never considered doing a pulpit in B&W. It does make a great subject for this due to the tones and texture.

I agree with the others. Mine is pathetic compared to that. That will make a great wall picture. Congratulations.

Beautiful translucent light, Bill - nicely done! And provocative!
