Wild Windy Columbine
I really tried something stupid tonight, shooting columbines in wind gusts of 35 mph   and they actually didn't turn out real bad.

Went to Clifty this evening in hopes of shooting Columbines when the wind died down at dark, but needless to say the wind stayed strong and gusty till after sundown, the Columbine are really starting to bloom and I am not going to have much time to get to them later so I found this one in between two large boulders and pushed the iso and came up with this one.

I know the little unfocused bloom is killing this, but trying to shoot at different ss speeds and f stops just wasn't working out with all that wind. Maybe tomorrow morning it won't be so windy and I can try it one more time !!

I think it turned out good given the conditions. Same problem here. I've tried shooting Bloodroot this past week and the wind and rain have been bad. I'm afraid they will be gone before the weather changes.

Really nice shot, Bernie. What ISO did you finally use to get it?

I like the results given the circumstances. I have tried to get some tulips recently, but the wind and rain are probably going to remove all blooms. I couldn't wait for the winter to end and when it does... BAM. Be careful what you wish for. Ha-Ha Good Luck all, Bruce

This is beautiful, Bernie. Excellent under the circumstances. The raindrops repeated below on the leaf make this a real keeper.

Bernie.. This is Sweet! My Columbine are just starting and I miss them.. A nice preview for me! The repetition and dark background are the big draw for me..
