Natchez Swamp
I wish I could have been in Arkansas last weekend! It looks like everyone had a good time (even when wet!) and I've seen a lot of great images. Keep 'em coming!

We took this week off and drove down to New Orleans via the Natchez Trace. The swamp north of Jackson provided a good break for some much needed photography.

Canon 20D
ISO 100
EF-S 17-85 @ 85mm

Tim, a very beautiful shot, I really like the reflections in the water. We missed you at the gathering but never fear, I drank you allotment of wine!

Wish you could have made it to the gathering last weekend, Tim, but you obviously had some fine subjects to point your camera at too! I really like the way the algae mirrors the beautiful green foliage in this shot, with the tree trunks connecting the two. Hope to see some more!

What a wonderful grouping of elements Tim. The detail reveals a rich and vibrant ecosystem. Well seen and captured. Sorry you couldn't be there last weekend but there's always next time!

Great shot Tim. I love those wide trunks and the reflections. Yes, get out and shoot! Hope to see you at the next gathering.

I like how this graduates from medium to dark, top to bottom. Intentional or not, it's a great effect.
