Had a cracker of a morning with Mr Bate at Formby today - a stack of images, glorious weather, grand company and plentiful subject material

I love these guys - they remind me of little old men - and I'm sure they are all Polish because their work ethic is phenomenal - eat 1 bury 10:biggrin:

This is my missus' favourite from the few I've processed, not mine - but what do I know

Last time I went I used a 300mm and the BG's were a bit busy so I lumbered the 800mm up there to get some smoother ones and isolate the subject a bit more.

Techs as per norm:
D300
300-800mm @ 750mm
Full Frame
ISO 400
1/320th @ f8

PP Bibble Pro and CS3

Thanks for looking :toast: :toast: :toast:

Love this one Andy. You know what...it's my favourite Red Squirrel pic I've seen in ages.
Well done. The peek around the stump and the thumbs up is what I like about this one.

Wonderful shot Andy, like this a lot - great pose and you've achieved what you set out to do with the BG.

I shall be visiting Formby during the 1st week of June and I hope I can come away with some shots as good as yours.

Best wishes

Yes a great image. I like the touch of black in the ear tufts. Have you seen the mellanistic
squirrels there?

Hello Andy.

love the way you've captured this with only the squirrel being sharp. It really gives this a lot of impact and the pose just finishes it of. Superb work. :wavey:
