Fishing without a License
I was watching this Green Heron in a wildlife area not far from my farm. Earlier it battled a nice size Brown Trout only to loose it (sounds familiar). It was it fishing without a license, out of season and without a trout stamp.

I like the pose. We don't see many Blue Heron here, but have been getting some new birds latley. Will keep watch and see.

Nice shot, Phil!! Green Herons are one of my favorite shorebirds.. Excellent fishermen, and very colorful...

We see the occasional green in the CVNP. You've done a wonderful job of catching this beautiful bird in action. How much of a fine do all of those violations add up to?
