Gorge Vetch
I love the color of the vetch, but was a little disappointed with the comp on the photos I took of it. I would like to have centered the poppy, but there was a gap in the vetch to the lower left. I took several other photos with poppies centered, but the vetch was a bit sparse. I finally settled on this one, and I'll just pretend I wanted to compose the poppy down there  .

Great colors, John. I agree that the composition is a bit off. The part that distracts me is the soft focus on the right 1/3 of the image. Have you experimented with some crops to concentrate on the in-focus portions around the poppy?

Great color and Texture here John....

I personally would crop a good portion of the right side off....make this a vert shot!!!

In that scene it looks like the vetch would be great to use in cramming a shot of the poppy. the vetch would be the "crammer."

The half dried vetch doesn't do a lot for me, but I like Catherine's idea - that would be some great abstract out of focus color to go with that bloom if it were to work..

All in all though, I think the light is simply too harsh.
