Folks,

Deep in the bowels of one of my computers is a list that has some blanks and those blank weeks are looking for ideas. I realize the dates are off in the future but it's time to put on the thinking caps.

This has been a good year with some great original ideas :toast:

Some of the themes have kept me hopping. And I think many of the themes have provided a real challenge for us.

The weeks that are looking for a theme include the following:

10/05/08 - 10/11/08
11/02/08 - 11/08/08
11/16/08 - 11/22/08
11/23/08 - 11/30/08
11/30/08 - 12/06/08
12/07/08 - 12/13/08
12/14/08 - 12/20/08
12/21/08 - 12/27/08
12/28/08 - 01/03/09
01/04/09 - 01/10/08

Thanks in advance for some more wonderful ideas :jump:

Natures Butts

Ok, you got heads, now lets do natures butts.

I need more for the butt pages anyway

http://www.macrophotos.com/butts1.htm

and its about time we had some more since it started with NPN. So I say the more butts the better. And we need permission to use them. Thats part of the theme as well  Full credits of course.

All at once, "bring on the butts" :toast:

Ah, Danny, you do love to stir the pot, don't you? :jump:

I have one major question: If we were able to capture able to capture an outrageous rear view such as this image by Lia, exactly from whom do we have to have permission? The Coast Guard? The Game Warden?

Carol,

How about something geological - strata, crystals, patterns, boulders, water polished rocks in stream beds, lava, etc. ...

OK, Avi,

How does this sound. For the moment, it's just one of your ideas. More to come ...

11/30/08 - 12/06/08
Shots at dawn or dusk or possibly weather shots that require long exposures--a second or longer. Please be sure to include your shooting data.

Not sure if this has been done yet, but how about nature and camouflage? Pictures of animals camouflaging in to their surroundings.

Actually, Benjamin, Lia posted that idea only ahead of you by a bit and I've already added it to the spreadsheet. Even though Jim has not already approved all of the ideas on the spreadsheet, I should probably put it out on my web site so folks can look at it.

Put the thinking cap back on please.

Folks, It's not fancy. Some of the ideas on this list have been submitted to Jim but since they have not been approved and added to the official Weekly Themes list, nothing is cast in stone.

This is a copy of my tentative working list. Feel free to peruse it for additional ideas.

Thanks for looking

Self portraits!

A bit similar to the idea suggested by Ron Pullen, Stan. I guess I could start on next year but I'm not quite ready to do that--yet!

We need some first rate novel holiday ideas for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Chanukah, Kwanzaa, the New Year.

Back to the drawing board :jump:
