ISO100, 1/250 @ f5.6, Manual, Incident, Diffusion Tunnel.

Hi,

Missed most of the Orchids last year and Janet always enjoyed them, so will be spending a bit of time with them this year... Kent has a good population.

From this morning at a site that is very well known for Green wings.

All the best

Beautiful capture. It would be very appropriate for a Remembrance card, Phil.

Indeed a wonderful shot of a beautiful species.
It makes me look for it longer than normal. Great job.

a lovely shot. I'm also intrigued by a diffuser tunnel, not something I've come across before.

Lovely shot, wonderfully isolated. I'm no flower photographer but I do appreciate a great image when I see one.

Lovely stuff, also keen to know what a diffusion tunnel is - sounds like something a mad physicist might use!

'tis a lovely shot in the classic orchid style.

A diffuser tunnel - unless I'm mistaken, it's like a mini version of those poly-tunnels that farms grow fruit and veg in. You plonk it over the flower to diffuse the daylight and shoot through it, from one open end to the other.

Simplest method is to get two sheets of perspex (or whatever) and duct-tape them together at one end, so they are hinged together. You can then plonk the sheets over the subject 'tent style'.

Oh, I've just now seen Phil's other thread where he includes a photo of the diffuser tunnel.

Still, at least it proves I wasn't mistaken!!!
