Roxborough
My first time in Roxborough. Not very good for photography, especially since the park only opens at 7am, but the gloomy weather kept the crowds away--i didnt see any one else in the park all morning! WIsh i could have been there for the snow falling on thursday, but at least i got to see it before it melted.

The mix of flowers and snow was nice.

The folks at Roxborough do have regular sessions where they open the park early for photographers. You can pick up their newsletter for dates and times or just go on line for details.

You need to go there during snow - it's magical.

It's also got a LOT of wildlife. It's uncommon to not see a lot of mule deer, but I also see red & grey foxes, black bear, with and without cubs, and even mountain lions and bobcats from time to time.

I've made some special efforts to get to Roxborough in snowing conditions. It is indeed magical during those times, as Jay said. Highly recommended.

I live in the foothills a little bit South of Roxborough Park. We've had a lot of Cougar activity lately and one in particular is not at all afraid of people.

I like the 2nd image with the blosson tree!. I've been to the park once in out-of-snow season, I can see though how magical it would be right after a snow storm!.
