Beautiful Pat, I am a sucker for those silky water images. I love that you included the tree on the diagonal. If that tree wasn't there then I would suggest this as a panoroma, the water is so strong, but that one tree just anchors it all.

What gear did you use? Obviously on a tripod but what lens? 20mm??
and any filters?

Personally I would have cloned over the photographer in the upper right

I didn't see Jim Santerre, my fearless co-leader on this trip, taking shots of the red trillium along the stream. I used Canon 5D, with 24-105 IS lens, aperature set at 19, circular polarizer and tripod. We did the dry run yesterday. Lots of wildflowers this weekend... don't know if there will be any blooming on the 17th.

Great image, Pat. How are the bugs? manageable?

No bugs yesterday. Did have some at the soccer game later in the evening. Bring bug spray for the trip just in case.

Pat,

Shots like this are going to leave me riddled with regret about not making this meetup. What a great spot, and a great shot of it. Nice early green on the hardwoods and a great shutter speed.

I'm sure there will be plenty of wildflowers in nice rich lowland woods like that during the weekend of the hike. Good luck!
