And something more lively, a miniature garden on a log, Indian Peaks Wilderness.

And from Arches some paintbrush.

Really nice work, everyone! Scott - that's a gorgeous image!

This is my new backyard. I lost my view of the Flatirons, but gained a nice forest out our back door. It's nice to sit on the patio and watch the light and colors change as the sun rises.

4-image stitch, and the detail is obviously getting clobbered here.

I agree with Rick great work thus far.
Something from my own collection of Macros

This one is a rock and lichen detail shot from a trip to Crystal Lakes last year. Too bad it's a little soft in the lower left. Oh well.

Here's my most recent close-up shot...it's from two days ago in Arches.

Taken in Moraine Park 4/8/07, I can't remember what I was told these are, but they are one of the first flowers of spring.

I'm always amazed at what appear to me to be harsh locations for trees and other plants to grow, and this is one of those spots.

Great stuff everyone! I'll add a couple to the fun. This first one is from just off Temple Mountain Road, not too far from Goblin Valley, Utah.

One more, this one being the only 4x5 film I ever shot in Iowa!

One more for now - a Crab Spider on Yarrow, taken at Golden Gate Canyon SP. This image, titled "The Last Thing You'll Ever See" was posted in the Macro forum last year.

I think the Crabby Crab Spider is doing the Daffy Duck "Mine Mine, Mine'Mine'mine" thing or inviting me for Crabby Patties
