Male Red Grouse calling
I took this image last week whilst I was on my way to photograph Ptarmigan. I seem to find Red Grouse higher up the slopes now days than I did in the past.

Canon 1D MK11, 500mm Lens, F5.6, 1/250, ISO 200

Yeah great colour, good action with calling and foot. I'd clone out that green spot in the foreground, a finishing touch.

Nice one Danny, I do feel that I would prefer a bit more of the rock to be in shot, but for the life of me cannot think of a reason, gut I suppose....

Lovely shot.

That's global warming for you. If the ice caps melt and the Gulf Stream stops I'm sure they'll come back down again!
