I was looking through some images I took from Feb and rediscovered this series I had shot. I wasn't sure about them then but I found I really liked this one. I shot a bunch of still images of these aspens and then tried a vert panning technique.
The color version is nice, but I wanted to depart from literal and chose to convert to duotone w/ blue tint.

Excellent Cory - creative and very effective. I like that the trees have some space. Of course just a personal preference, but I'm not sure about the blue tint. I'm wondering how this looks in both straight b&w and color. Nice work with the technique - I think you chose a good subject for it.
Cory, I'm sure I would never have been able to get as clean an image with this technique as you have here. For me, it is the slightness of the blur affect and still being able to understand the subject matter presented with just enough of the right details that is the key here. Although the panning idea is not new, it is always nice to see a fresh look on an older approach. Very nice work.
Very nice Cory,
Have you been reading my mind?
I am in the middle of almost the same sort of series...
Sometimes you can only do "clean and crisp" for so long
and need a creative break......
I like the blue, gives a coolish effect with the snow
Thanks for sharing.....
