Brimstone
Had a nice walk around Wheatfen Broad just outside Norwich in the Bank Holiday sunshine. There were quite a few brimstone in evidence. In retrospect I think I should have opened up the aperture a bit more to get a more blurred BG - but i was more concerned about the DOF at the time! Oh well - maybe next time I'll crack it

Techs for those interested

1/640 @ f9 -0.67 ISO200

Nice image, love the setting but it is, unfortunately, not pinpoint sharp

Thaks for that Rene - guess I'll have to sharpen up on my focusing!

Hi Dennis,

I really like this! but it isn't as pin sharp as it could have been! Did you use a tripod with a remote?

Hi Paul - yes I had a tripod - but didn't use the remote - or mirror lock up come to that - with hindsight a BIG mistake - I was chasing the blooming thing from flower to flower and totally forgot the finer points!!!! Ho Hum all part of the learning process I guess - hopefully will do better next time.

thanx for the crit

Hi Dennis,

We all do it! The number of times I've forgotten the basics right at crunch time is unreal!
