Take away the twig in front and you have a first class image. Just out of interest how do you find the sigma lens, I am thinking of getting one? is it easy to carry about? :toast:

Thanks

Dave: the Sigma 500 is great it takes a 1.4tc very well but it is heavy to cart around about 2.5Kg . I really fancy a 500mm f4 Nikkor BUT cant justify the cost.

John : There are two of them male and female they have lurked in the brambles for 2 days now and have never shown me a clean background. I am off this afternoon for another go.

Yes it's a shame about the twigs but then the all important head area is really nice and sharp so main point of interest works well. When a bird lives in brambles then brambles is what you get.
Nice shot.
