Devils Garden UT
Starting to work on the 100s of images on my recent trip to Utah. A big thanks to those forum members that offered advise, it was greatly appreciated and very helpful. Spent 6 days between Grand Jct, CO and Bryce Natl Parl (Sat PM - Thr daybreak). Cant say enough for the area, absolutely great trip and would love to spend weeks not days in the area, particularly Capital Reef and Grand Staircase. Great trip!

Here is an image at Devils Garden in the Escalante area of the Grand Staircase... would have liked some clouds but was great none the less, had the place to myself!

I really like the contrsts of textures and light. I love the whisps of clouds as a part of the contrast as well.

Timothy,

I like the formations but it seems like it is probably a tough place to shoot. A couple things stick out. The shade on the base of the left formation is a bit distracting. The right side could probably be cropped out to make an 8X10 ratio image. Another alternative is a vertical crop of the center formation and the formation lurking behind to the left.

Love the warm light Timothy. I've been there twice now, and both times it was totally overcast! :frown: fun place to hike around at least!

And I know what you mean, I could spend a lifetime just in Capitol Reef and the Grand Staircase areas. Come to think of it, my last two trips out there I did just that! Can't wait to go again!

Looking forward to seeing more of your images!
