Sorry Chris I should have explained, or is someone pulling my leg here?
I have just come back from three weeks in India visiting various locations, primarily photographing Tigers. These locations do not have any 'hides' and the 'cats' are all wild and do not respond to 'finger clicking' or 'here kitty kitty'! You shoot from a vehicle (open jeep) using a bean bag or hand held as there is very little room for a tripod . However, we did take the front seat out on the first jeep to add more space and give ourselves a fighting chance. Driver, guide and however, ie me.
Hope tis helps
BTW the Tiger was about 4m away and the mage is full frame
Thanks for the background. No I didn't imagine they were anything else but wild, but the insight into how close you get is well interesting. Someting, as my post shows, I knew nothing about.
No worries Chris, can expand more if you ever need to know
Nice to have a reply from you Andy.
Hi Phil, yes it does make sense. For the first week I was with a friend of mine who has been out there since March and still there I understand. The rest of the time was planned with advice etc. Hope this helps

Was this an organised photo trip, or was all the planning yours? (does that make sense?)
