Scarlet and yellow
Scarlet Pimpernel and Hop Trefoil.

Scarlet pimpernel Anagalis arvensis is one of my favourite flowers. Is this one of your secret weapons for attracting birds, John? A modern Herbal by Mrs Grieve (1931) states:

"The seeds of the plant, which are very numerous, and enclosed in small capsules, are much eaten by birds."

Great combination of colours.

Thanks all.
Interesting David, too!
Its great now and then to just wander around with a camera and standard lens without all the big heavy lenses and tripods and bags and stuff. I reckon I shall do it more often.
Cheers
