One more from the Painted Hills
Howdy all, here's another from the Painted Hills last weekend. Its been so long since I processed any images, I'm kind of rusty. I guess its time to start re-learning.
What do you think of this one?

It would be freakin awesome if the sky were brighter.

That sky is kinda dark isn't it. here's a lightened up version.

The comp. looks great to me Eric with all the tufted grasses. Was this in the morning early? The sky looks a bit dark yet, but maybe it is the time of day or fixin to be stormy? Glad to see your posts!

I sure like the f/g, and the brighter sky. Nice detail throughout.

When were you there? I was there Saturday May 5th! I saw the same style of clouds during the evening and the sun peeked out occasionally. I have the same shot perspective, maybe a little higher up on the hill

I was there on the 5th as well. About mid afternoon. It looked like it might rain at any moment but then the sun would pop out.

Nice, Eric - I like the effect of motion that the blown grass tufts give (and it looks like it was breezy up there). It definitely adds to the sweep of the image. My only comment is that the sky and background range of hills has a bit too much blue cast, but that's debatable and subject to personal taste, I suspect. Well done!
