I live in the states these days but am coming over to a cottage near Ullapool for a week soon, any suggestions for places to put my tripod, lighthouses, views, reindeer? Hope it's OK to ask.
For landcapes, you are in one of the most stunning parts of the British Isles (IMHO!)
The area known as Coigach to the north of Ullapool is well worth visiting, especially the contrast between mountains, sky and sea. Anywhere down the coast road towards Gairloch (A832) is also fairly spectacular - I've had some great sunset shots from Gruinard Bay.
Sorry I can't be of more help - I'm sure you'll have a great time!!!
