I'm trying to stay more local this year and there appears to be more opportunities for flora in my local area, so here's my first attempt at a Green-winged Orchid. Any tips on photographing flowers is most appreciated.
Techs:
D2X
300mm F4
1/30sec @ f/16
ISO100
Mounted on a tripod
reflector to get more light underneath
A very nice image Mark and one of my favourite orchids , my only suggestions would be to add a little fill flash to lift the orchid a little more and maybe a cleaner BG would work better as those oof yellow flowers tend to draw the eye , a very nice shot none the less.
Thanks for the comments
Having reviewed the image again I think it is a little over saturated and had lost some of the detail, so |'ve reprocessed it again.
