Flower
O.K. Gang - First the disclaimers. I had never seen this flower before and I don't remember what it is called. Also, I don't know where the flower stops and the leaves begin - so - that said, I shot this Sunday morning of the Gathering near the falls by the Boy Scout Camp. Obviously, C & C welcome.

It's green trillium, Trillium viridescens, it occurs in the SW part of MO and the NW part of Arkansas. Beyond that, it is quite rare.

I can't claim the credit for finding this one. Bruce pointed it out to me, otherwise I would have passed right on by it. I am looking forward to the Fall Gathering and hope to make it if I am not out to town.

Nice work with this trillium, Merle. The veins in the leaf kinda lead you right into the bloom. Good choice on the background too.
