After importing pics into Lightroom, I want to burn a DVD. When I export to burn a disk it get "x" instead of picture. Anyone have the answer to what I'm doing wrong?
Adrew. I have a PC. I am pulling raw images into Lightroom from a SanDisk compact flash card. Then hit import and they are sent to Lightroom's library. Then I hit Export and send them to be burned on a DVD. Normally it works fine, but now instead of a viewing a picture on the DVD I get an "X" where the pictures should be. I have an old computer without much memory so I store all of my raw images on DVDs.
In library, are the files you want to export red? Did you remove the compact flash from the computer? If you did, it does not know where the photos are. This probably explains the "x". I download my compact flash to a designated file on my computer and then download to Lightroom. This way Lightroom will know where the photos are. When I export, I will select the photos I want to burn in a collection named appropiately. Than I will export that to a file on my Desktop. I will then burn the DVD on a burning program like Nero. I hope that helps.
