After a week of anticipation to get back into the Gorge again, Darren and I headed up early this morning to hit Oneonta Creek. I did a retake of this shot from last year on the way to Triple Falls. We had a great morning, even though we were operating on a total of 6 hours sleep. Later we meet Jesse and Kevin P on the way back out.
Thanks for your thoughts and suggestions.

6 hours of sleep? Man, that's a long night's sleep for me I'm totally stoked to hit the Gorge this Monday.

Thanks for the comments - yes, it was good meeting you too, Jesse.. I'm planning my next trip already... Staring next Saturday I will be up there every day for a while..
Nicely composed image. Intense and beautiful carpet of green on the sides of the gorge. The water looks great and provides a nice contrast and the rocks add a textural contrast as well.
Ned, I liked it so much I went up there this afternoon! The conditions were quite as perfect as you've captured, but very nice. I hadn't been up there in about a month, and it's amazing how well the slopes above the falls have recovered from all those trees sliding into the splash pool. Now if we can have a repeat of the flood that showed up on Oregon Field Guide this week (turning Triple Falls into "Twin Falls"), we have that stump moved down to the old highway...
I love this place. You always bring out the detail so well in these gorge scenes Ned.
I do prefer your post on NPN as it has foreground foliage I've not seen from here before. However, I really like the highlighting on those upper pair of trees as Darren mentioned.
Great capture Ned... I miss the Gorge now that we're planted out here in Ohio. You captured a letter from home here. Nice job!

Thanks again guys....! Mark - it is right up past Ponytail Falls on the trail. The trail dips down across a bridge perhaps a quarter mile on up, and there it is. I'm going to be up there again next week, among a few other places I hope....
