Here's another shot from our spring gathering jaunt to Smith Creek on Saturday evening, April 26. The location is down stream of the bridge. I would have preferred more detail in the water, but due to the failing light the exposure times were too long for that. As always your C&C are appreciated. Thanks for looking.
A lot to like here, John. I think the warm tone in the sandstone cobbles in the fg contrasts really well with the limestone ledge behind. And the water color is beautiful as it transitions from blue to green reflections of the trees. Sweet light downstream too...awesome shot!
John, the way you have set this shot up brings you right into the stream and I agree with Bill on the nice warm tones. It makes we wish I was there this morning.
This is real nice John. You have captured the scene very well, and what I like the most about it is the low prospective you took it at. Very well done.
Looks like the road less travelled paid off with a beautiful shot of a different Smith Creek than we are used to seeing. Plus you deserve a few bonus points for following Tim's sunrise from Stout Point and Dominic's pink lady slipper. It takes a pretty bright light to shine next to those.
Hey John, I'm just getting around to this one ... missed it somehow. Very nice work here ... I'm beginning to understand why you were "lost" for so long Saturday night. Thanks for sharing.
