As I mentioned on my Neon Canyon post, the hike down Fence Canyon towards Neon Canyon was quite enjoyable. Although not a flower photographer in general, I noticed flowers in bloom everywhere along the hike to the river. Here is an example of the blooming flowers, with Fence Canyon in the background.
Thanks for nice remarks. I just was amazed at the number of flowers! Im curious, if anyone knows, just how long flowers like this last.... seems to me couple hot days in the sun and they would be wilted and done, but not being a flower photographer, have no idea.
The Parry Primrose (white flower pictured) usually blooms in the spring when sufficient moisture and warmth allow. They last only a few days at most and the punishing desert heat will take them out in short order. But you're very lucky to have been there when they were...nice find!
At the time of the shot passing clouds so yes was cloudy when I made the shot.
Thought they must be very short lived flower, made for great hike though to be in the midst of all the flowers! Figured Id share the image with the group.
i was in neon just 4 days ago. wow! are the flowers blowing up. on the way down fence there are fields of flowers like you have shown. i believe they are the sego. the yuccas are also in full bloom.
