This image was taken as part of my Grey Heron project about a year ago, it was my first saleable image, but not too much interest since. Any comments are greatly appreciated, good or bad !

Unfortunately i don't really use my film camera much nowadays, apart from medium format that is.

Nikon F90X
Fuji Velvia 100F
Sigma 70-300mm

Looks quite atmospheric to me, i like the mood it conveys, i'm rubbish at landscape so i cant critque sadly.

It has a certain feel to it. There is something in the top let hand corner that needs removing IMHO and I'm not sure about the two prominent leaves of the reed mace they are a bit distracting I think, it would have been better if they were flowers of the plant. As Paul says it has atmosphere.

I agree with the 'atmospheric' comments also Drew,

I'm also a bit clueless regarding landscape composition, but feel i would prefer slightly less of the immediate foreground, and more of the mid-ground water/mist.

nice first posting, and like your heron project shots :toast:

Thanks for your comments.

When I get time away from work, I will try the adjustments suggested.

New images on the way soon, perhaps Herons !
