Large red damsel emerging
Nikon D300
Nikon 300mm f4 w. PN11 ext tube
1/80 sec @ f32 ISO 400

Spent an hour this morning taking a series of damsel emergence shots. Viewing angle rather limited by vegetation so background isn't the most aesthetically pleasing.

Cheers

Malcolm

Just got my first damzy shots of 2008 today too - but not an emerger - your eyes must be better than mine Malcolm.

Fantastic event to witness :toast:

Lovely! I've been photographing this too, I've never seen it before - amazing!

Not sure if I wanna post mine now - couldn't get as close as this, and mine fluttered away before it had got all it's colour.. But the others that were emerging at the same time did the same thing, mebe its just what they do?
