Dog Mountain

I am planning a hike up Dog Mountain and wondered if anyone can tell me the trail conditions. With the amount of snow we received this winter I want to make sure it's open. Also, What's the status of the wild flowers?

I looked at it with binocs from Starvation Creek on Thursday, and couldn't see much happening in the way of flowers. I haven't hiked it yet, but the parking lot was crammed on Saturday.

Terry Richard, travel editor for The Oregonian, mentioned the Dog Mountain Trail in a recent blog entry:

He says wildflowers bloom there in late May.
