An expanse of clouds begins to separate and light our hopes for a quality sunset with a rapid explosion of light that wildly intensifies the vivid yellows.

Thanks for looking and for your thoughts.

I like how the light illuminated the hills for you there, Trevor. I've been these and waited all day for some breaking light, but never any this prominent.. agree with Jesse on his exposure points.. I do like the composition very much!

The yellow is a bit harsh on my screen but I love the comp!

Sure do notice how many elements are competing for my attention in this image: the stunning intensity of the bight yellow hills in contrast to the intense blue and ominous look of the sky; that great fg that takes the viewer tumbling down into the valley; the contrast between the intense light and the subdued shadows; the faceless silhouetter of the bg row of hills compared to the details elsewhere... I like all the elements and enjoy scanning around... but I also wish for, and am not sure I can see, what pulls it all together.

Too light and dark. Cool idea, but not quite...
