Well I made it back into the Flint Hills last Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. One of my main stomping areas is about an hours drive, so I decided to shoot until dark Friday, sleep in my truck that night and be back at it before sun up Saturday. All I can say is, the back seat of my truck ain't no Holiday Inn!
Honestly, It's really a great experience to spend time in nature when things aren't so rushed and time is of no essence. I'll share some of the moments from Friday evening and Saturday morning here this week. Starting with this shot from Sat. morn.
I was walking down an old road bed when I looked to my left and 'ol Mr. Sunshine was beamin' thru.
Brad, you done good! Don't change a thing. This shows there's a whole lot more to nature photography in the CSNP forum than waterfalls in Arkansas (Although I'm a long ways from being tired of those.)
Very nice, Brad - love the sun peeking through the clouds. I can see cropping up from the bottom slightly, but overall really nice. Definitely worth staying at the Backseat Inn.
Nicely blended Brad. I agree with Tim B. that I would probably crop a little more of the ditch on the bottom. It looks like the Flint Hills are really greening up. I might need to spend a night in my back seat soon as well.
Nice image, Brad. Composition/framing seem just right. The grass above the ditch seems a bit bright to me, but that's me being picky. I look forward to seeing more of your stuff from your trip.
