i thought it was going to be one week, mind you i think i prefer two weeks

I'd go for Elliot's Badger shot despite the mystifying title (Badgers are GO!), lovely setting and balance to it

Hi All,

My vote goes to Andy Astbury's stunning, troubled times - happy ending image, of the GCG.

Regards

My vote goes to Andy and 'his' Grebes. I just love the light, POV and the little ones on their backs. It has all the ingredients for a good shot.

Another vote for Andy's 'Troubled times - happy ending' Grebes!

Male ptarmigan calling by Danny gets my vote, for fieldcraft, framing & techs of shot, but also the sheer dynamism in the behaviour behind the shot

Andy's grebes for me too. The light just beats Edwin's 'another bearded of the 1st May'

My vote goes to Andys Grebes. Just a superb shot with both birds perfecly in focus. :wavey:

Both Steve's Rhesus Monkeys & Andy's Grebes would be worthy winners, but Andy edges it for me on the effort involved in obtaining the image!

How much are you paying us Andy? Your Grebes gets my vote too....

Andy's grebes for me also :toast:

Is it just me..................Ive only just noticed this fortnightly comp thread. Although i knew it was going to happen, my eye doesn't get drawn to the very top of the page {only to the top of the posted images}.

Maybe high-lighting the title text in red [or something else] would help draw the eye immediately to the thread  .

Of course, if its only me {quite likely  }, then there is no point in tinkering

Some really good images to choose from during this period (probably any period actually!) but for me the ones that stood out were Andy's GCG duo with the chicks, and Ian Mason's Reed Bunting.

Andy's commitment and mentalness  paid off a treaty with a shooting angle that will come into it's own whilst using that hide. Can't say much more about Ian's Reed Bunting other than superb.

BUT, my vote goes for David Kjaer's Scissor-tailed Flycatcher. Awesome image in every respect

Well done you guys! :toast:

Whoops! I've just noticed this thread. I go for Andy's grebes too - absolutely stunning.

I've got to go for Andy's Grebes, not just for the compositional and general asthetics of the image but also for the planning, time, effort and dedication involved. Andy sets a fine example to follow if you are going to get good shots.
