OK, I took this some time ago but I wasn't sure about it. I quite like this shot but I really don't know how you guys think about it. Please give me your honest opinion like always

Hi Edwin,

I like the the closer bird, but not sure about the top one. I think it is such an unusaul and striking image, I think it only needs the one bird, which has a great pose and razor sharp and well exposed.

Regards

Rob

I like it with both birds. I think it gives a sense of depth/perspective to this really unusual shot. It must have been tricky to take from a small boat without falling over...

I like. I can't explain why though. I just do.

It has something.... there is a quality that I like but like some of the others can't put my finger on it, maybe it is the being different, at first I was going to say that I wasn't fond of the clipped wings, but the more I look the more the image grows on me....

I really like this shot, it's great. Very stron, graphic image, and different.

That bottom bird would be great in portrait mode but i do like it as is-different i guess, and a 50mm lens blimey they must have been close

Hi Edwin

The shot works well for me although I'm not sure about the OOF bird - mainly because of its position and angle. For the second bird to really work it needed more symmetry!

Certainly an intriguing shot Edwin, and i can understand why you have kept it,

Definately has 'a certain something' which catches my eye :toast: :toast:

Hi Edwin,

As a fine art image! I like it! I think it'll look good hanging on a wall!

Like it too, I think it has that art feel to it. A more symmetrical shot, or one of the bottom bird alone might work better, and cropping out the dark bits towards the end of the visible bits of the wings, leaving the pale bird on an almost white background. Certainly holds your attention though

My first thought was I like it even with the clipped wing. My second thought was that I still like it. Something different executed superbly :toast:

Very strongly graphic comp - works a treat for me fella :toast: :toast:

The top bird makes the shot - if it wasn't there to break up the sky it would be a slightly different matter, but it is there so the image looks great matey :wavey:

Most unusual shot, and therefore quite fascinating.

I reckon that's a superb shot. If you took out the 2nd bird it would still be technically superb, but artistically dead. It's original, flawlessly executed and very impressive from where I am sitting. And that translucent, feather-detail is to die for I reckon.
