Oneonta Creek stop..
A little cascade in this stream I stop to shoot on each visit. This last trip I hauled my 20mm prime along to try to get more out of this vantage point. The lens seems to work well for me, though I haven't used it in a few years since I was still shooting a film camera. For now it works well until I can afford the 16-35 II I want.

Thanks as always for your comments and suggestions!

Canon 1D2, Canon EF 20mm f/28, ISO-50, 1 second at f/18, polarizer.

Very dramatic, Ned - it does seem slightly tilted to the left (to me) and cropped a bit tight on the left, as well. The shutter speed is right on the money - love the back and forth patterns in the water!

I love this shot Ned. We have many great "waterfall specialists" in the NW and so many falls and streams. I am an amateur when it comes to the falls speciality, but I do like the composition here, the moss covered rocks and the water with the way it meanders thru the shot. Thanks, great job!

Hi, Ned: A great classic from you again. I think what I like most about this is that it does NOT look like the typical wide angle shot. There's a feeling of intimacy that is very appealing to me. And nothing looks distorted.

Love the round boulder at the top of the frame near where the falls start. Has a "king of the hill," "keeper of the falls," sort of look about it.
