Also called Blue Wild & False Indigo, a yellow version more commonly called Plains Indigo.
I came upon a few growths of these on my hikes in to the hills. This one an almost pinkish color. They are just starting their almost summer long blooming. Hopefully within a few weeks many of them will be in full bloom so they start standing out more rather than blending in to the grasses.
Nice side lighting, Brad. I like the colors and you nailed the exposure. You might try cropping some at the bottom; to me it seems like the Indigo is a bit far away, or isn't standing out enough against the rest of the foreground.
Works for me, Brad - beautiful early prairie color, and nicely-balanced composition. Very nice.

What great light Brad and another fine comp. I see what John is saying but for me I like how the dark earth/shadows in the fg provides some contrast for the indigo. Nice eye on this one.
p.s. I'm really surprised that this image hasn't gotten more comments.
