One of a pair down the road from me.

They both hunted together until April 9th. I'm hoping, the next visit I get to make, may see the both of them out hunting to feed youngsters.

Lovely image. Well composed, enough of background to show environment and yet sufficiently blurred to make the bird stand out. Excellent.

Hi ARD,

Cracking shot, just for your info,( I apologise if you are already aware of this) if you saw a pair until April the 9th, then only one, then the female will have been commited to the nest, to start egg laying and you won't see her out hunting again until the youngsters are old enough to keep themselves warm, so say she started egg laying on the April 17th, it will be approx eight weeks until she leaves the box to start hunting. She will come out and wing stretch and do short flights but wont be out for more than a few mins, during this time she is totally reliable on the male for her food.

Regards

Rob
