This is my first 4x5 scan from my Utah trip.
Sorry to Tim for posting so near his arch shot but I worked the last couple of evenings on this and wanted to get some critique. The shadows in the web version blocked up a little but I'm liking this composition.
This was taken just prior to the sun setting behind the straight cliffs.
I met/ran into Adam Kavalunas while taking this shot. Sorry for dominating the spot through sunset, dude. It was fun to meet you!

No apologies necessary! Great job. Nice perspective. Cant see too many shots from forum members, always a pleasure to view others work.
Im amazed at how many forum members have gone to Utah over the last few weeks, the number of postings from UT is way up versus the last few months. Great place to visit and shoot, Cant wait to go back, and will see if I can coordinate with some others from the group.

Thanks everyone. I made a test print on matte paper that looks pretty good. I'm intrigued by the cross/spot of light on the far rock face, that phenomenom might only happen at certain times; hard to tell. This is a neat spot!
No worries Kalin, after my hike earlier in the day, I was content just to sit and watch the sunset. I might suggest a slight crop in from the left, just to eliminate a few of the sky spots and help to give a little more of a complete frame to the left side of the image. Probably a good thing that you didn't hike the Wave with me on Wednesday. The wind was so bad we didn't even attempt to hike it!
Nice shot Kalin, if you had gone down with Adam, you would have run into me :-). I ran into Adam camped out Thursday night. Adam, the trip was freaking awesome!

I'm still looking forward to getting into the wave/Coyote Buttes sometime - never been. It's amazing how much beautiful country there is to see, just in our neck of the woods, let alone everywhere else. Hopefully I'll run into more RMNPers, it's always fun.
Thanks for the comments everyone. I'm going to look at the crop suggestion, Adam.
