Yes, and it's totally natural. I should have mentioned in my description that part of what I like about this place is that it catches some nice sunset light from an opening to the West. The light was diffused through high clouds this evening, but still evident in the image I see. Sorry for not elaborating on the colors there. I could adjust it anyway I suppose, but I did rather like the warmth up top.
Beautiful shot Marc. I've been busy for a bit checking out all your stuff since I've been absent. You have evolved incredibly as a photographer, you should be very proud of yourself. Every series of shots seems to be a bit better than the last in some way or another.
Jeremy, thanks. Very little of my new work is up on www.marcadamus.com because I've been in the midst of building a new website. I'll post the link here when it goes live. I've done a lot more new work than I've let on in the last half a year or so too. It should be running sometime early this summer.
My thoughts on the image? Well, for starters it's too small and I'm looking at it on my monitor and not my wall.
Actually I think it is another incredible image. It is a treat for the eyes from top to bottom. Can't wait to see your new website. What is the time frame looking like?
Yes, it's another beauty. I've never actually seen green on basalt columns - very cool. In an effort to be picky, I'd say the comp is a bit too straight-on in terms of the way the falls and creek line up.
Josh, I'm hoping it will be running by July 1. I'm so busy right now it's just ridiculous though, so I can't say for certain.

Looks good Marc, another great falls shoot for sure! Knowing the sunset light is what is giving the yellowish glow to the falls it works fine for me. Had I not known that though I would say it was a tad too yellow. And I look forward to seeing the new site.
Ya know, I like the overall comp but since there isn't clear sunshine anywhere, it (to me) appears that you jacked up the saturation for the top half but forgot to mask out the water. I think there is just too much of a different in the 2 stages of water without clear evidence to support why. But, it makes for a nice image that requires you to show up and explain the lighting to everyone that sees it

I like this, Marc, but your other waterfall shots pale this in comparison. This is a beauty to behold in any case, just that the other Fairyland Falls is just that much more to me. Technically, it's spot on.
Now that we're all out there blowing air on our lenses it doesn't look like you did that here, eh?
See you on the trail this week? I'm Gorgin' as much as possible (not this weekend though - maybe Monday or Wednesday).
I'll be a dissenter on this one, Marc - not even close to your typical stuff, IMO. The part that distracts me is the lack of contrast on the rocks on the lower left, and on the basalt cliffs. It just looks a bit flat to me. But on the other hand, you've taken one of the great photos this falls - I'm thinking of the shot that I believe had some monkeyflower blooming on that pile of rocks over on the right?
