Like many of the falls on the side of the Icicle Canyon above Leavenworth, this little cascade on an unnamed, intermittent creeklet was difficult to get to, and tripod positioning was slippery and exposed. I climbed about 1000’ up a climbers trail towards “Condor Buttress” before heading off left and scrambling over a small granite dome which dropped me into the little ravine with the creek. A series of beautiful cascades stretched up for hundreds of feet, but they were too steep to approach without technical climbing gear.
Tweedy’s Lewisia is just beginning to bloom in droves in cracks on the sides of the granite domes. A few days of hot weather and they will explode in shades of yellow, orange, cream and pink.
The pool at the base of this cascade had a bunch of ugly branches that had obviously been swept down by winter avalanches and I had no esthetic issues removing them. I worked around the cascade, trying to get an interesting comp, remembering all the beautiful waterfall posts I’ve enjoyed here on PNWNP. Critiques much appreciated.

Marc, I really enjoy seeing what you come up with around Leavenworth. Nice job slugging up the hill for this one. I guess I'd like to see more of a falls as I don't find the trickle here quite as striking. It's tough though as I've been fed a steady diet of Columbia River Gorge waterfalls on this site recently! Can't wait to see more Leavenworth-area stuff.
Marc,
The image seems a bit scattered. I want to see more of a focal point for something my eyes can lock onto. This does look like a tough one to shoot.

Marc, good attempt. It does look like a tough one to photograph. However, I am struggling to find a main point of interest so it's just not grabbing me.
