A Friend of mine has property on Little Mill Creek and invited me up to search for wild azealas. We found some but I found this shot interesting. My first attempt at the Orton effect. Thanks for looking.
Tom, This is a sweet little scene. It is a very peaceful and still as Tim said. I think it may be too heavily divided by the 50/50 comp top and bottom and the light tree trunk that splits the left and right. The Orton effect does de-emphasize the split some, but I would prefer less FG and a more panoramic crop.
Tom this is nice. I'm glad to see you playing around with the Orton effect. We had talked about it walking back up from Smith Creek the outing weekend. It really provides a great look to certain images. I think this works really well with this one. And the scene is beautiful to start with. Very nice.
Hey Tom. Nice image. I like how you managed to capture a lot of detail in the stream bed in the foreground, while still getting reflections of the trees. Its cool how the water goes from crystal clear to blue.
I think the Orton treatment was a good choice, Tom. Those are some beautiful colors and the water is so clear - looks like a great swimmin' hole.

Hi Tom. What a tranquil setting and a real nice candidate for the Orton effect. You caught some really nice light and made the most of it. I like it as shown but I do think that a crop from the bottom makes a good shot even better.
